On the edge of a cliff I stand,
a sea ahead that has no end.
A thin soft lush grew below my feet,
that no machines nor humans can beat.
The sky was clear and bright that day,
it is there that my heart lay.
The little clouds rolled by slowly,
a stretch of arm and I can reach them barely.
The wind was fresh and cool,
like angels dancing around I flew.
A sudden presence I felt behind,
what a bright day it should be fine.
I stretched my arms as the wind blew by,
sometimes I feel that I could fly.
The Sun's rays shine upon my face,
warming me up at a slow pace.
It got closer but I felt no threat,
a little shy maybe that I will get.
A short sharp sting I felt behind my back,
no mercy nor hope it does not lack.
To my knees I fell like an apple from a tree,
the pain that impaled had took hold of me.
The sky turned darker then it was,
wondering what was the cause.
The currents of the sea grew rough,
crashing against the rocks it engulf.
The creatures of the Earth had retreated,
the winged had all departed.
To the ground I fell like a dried leaf from a tree,
waiting for its time to past like me.
The Earth that was once green is now tainted,
by red from which my blood spurted.
The air grew thick and heavy,
every breath is now short and weary.
My vision is now painted with darkness,
unable to recover from this emptyness.
Turning back I will not do,
for a chance I give for a wrong move.
There I lay for my time to past,
a second chance or life I will not ask.
Destiny is now taking me on another journey,
and I have faith that it will be sunny.
Thinking of the past that was still bright,
somehow my mind had taken flight.
As my last breath came I closed my eyes,
returning to the Earth without any price.
